After one of the member Ketty posted a comment in my other review that the bak chor mee is very good at the 60's old street hawker centre beside Le Meridien hotel, decided to pop by here for dinner to check it out.
Ordered a mee pok bak chor mee ($4.50). Price wise, I wouldn't say it is expensive, considering the location, but probably more expensive than our typical food court?
As for the bak chor mee, portion wise is normal, and I find it pretty good. The bak chor mee does not come with the fried fish slices like the one at Bestway. When I first tried it, felt it was quite normal, but taste better after a few mouthful. However, find the chilli could be spicier.
hmm...If I'm not wrong, this could be the same one at Chinatown Food Market, which always have long queue of people there, as both stalls bares the Teochew Street Mince Pork Noodle.
Overall, I think the bak chor mee here deserves a 3.5 star.

Came here today for lunch. It seems that the bak chor mee stall been replaced with another seller selling the same or similar menu. It is written as 爱面子 on the signboard now if not wrong. The noodle was tough and not well cooked. Taste horrible....

I've never been to Chinatown food centre or Albert Street Temporary food centre so can't compare. Yup, it's "song fish head" steam with tau see style, and I love the pork lard on it, very crispy. ^o^

How is the fish steam head compared to the ones at Chinatown food centre or there's another stall in Albert Street Temporary food centre? The steam fish head is "song fish head" steam with tau see style?

I went to the tony roma's in singapore suntec city, the ribs is very nice & tender and the chocolate dessert is sinful! Dun like the corn soup though.

Overall plus the cendol. I like the sauce but the crushed peanuts spoiled it and the fried stuffs too plain.
