Actually read about this western food stall before, but seems that quite a few times we were there, the stall is closed, which is kind of wierd as the opening hours is supposedly to be from 530pm to 11pm daily (closed on Sunday). Anyway, luck was on my side when I was there, and saw it was open. Though the queue at this stall is not as long as the char kway teow stall that's few stalls down, by the time I left, the queue at this stall actually caught up to be as long as that.
When I first saw the price, I thought it was a bit pricey. Pork chop, chicken chop, chicken cutlet goes from $6 - 6.50, while the mutton chop I ordered was $9, while the steak goes for $12. However, when I see the portion, it was not that pricey after all. For the pork chop, one gets 3 slabs, while for my mutton chop, I get 2.5 - 3 slabs, and they are pretty big. In fact, I think is one of the biggest portion of mutton chop I've eaten.
For my mutton chop, I find some portion was a bit on the tough side, though the sauce was not too bad. It also comes with a bun, and a piece of SCS butter. hmm... the SCS butter gives me a very nostalgia feeling, as I remember my mum used to buy that brand of butter when I was young to bake cakes. The fries was not salty, which I pretty enjoyed.
I think the mutton chop might not be a good choice. Hopefully next time I will give the pork chop a try as I see many others were ordering while I was queuing there. :)

One should try the grilled Chicken Chop - one of the biggest portions around. I think the current chef learnt it from his mom, who in turn learnt it from his dad. The stall has been in Margaret Drive for >30 years. The original chef (current owner's dad) passed away about 10-15 years ago. Mantle was taken up by the mom. Now its the son.
Only question is where the stall will move to when the entire block is demolished by the end of 2010 (was supposed to be June but they had an extension of 6 months)

Finally pop by here again to try the pork chop. At $6, you get 2 slabs of pork chop, one rather large, the other around half the size. You also get quite generous serving of fries, beans and a bun.
Wow! The pork chop here is really nice! There's a thick layer of fat at the edge of the pork chop. The pork chop is grilled such that the fatty portion is crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. When you bite the fatty portion in your mouth, can feel all the oil squirting inside ya mouth. hahahaah.... really yummy :) The meat itself is also very tender as well.

My last 2 trips there this year was kinda disappointing as well. First time, somewhere near CNY, a lot of seafood was sold out, even the beer! Thought cos we were there late, so the next time we decided to get there earlier, and this time, the crab where sold out!
Service was also very slow and not enuff people to serve the customers.
Food wise, I think price is still ok, but I think the food is not longer as good as when it was less well known.... planning to try senibong next round...

Have not been to Jogoya before, but I've been to the Gonbei opposite. Priced similarly to Jogoya if not wrong, and I thought the service and food was pretty good.

I went with 7 adults and 1 kid, we spent less than $120. I would safely hazard a guess of $18 - $25 per person, depending on how hungry you get. Real value for money for quality food.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.
