Sungei Road Laksa @ Jln Bersah
happened to pass by here the other day and bf remembered that there was a nice laksa place here, so we stopped to have our lunch there. looking ard, saw that the pple at the kopitiam were mainly eating the laksas, and most ordered at least 2 bowls...
the laksa costs 2 bucks per bowl, a small bowl but enough for me. it was pretty hot, and i realised later that the soup was scooped out of a pot over burning charcoal. guess you can rarely find laksa being cooked using charcoal? the soup was good and tasty, the noodle done well...all in all i find it to be pretty satisfying. thumbs up!

The cockles are fresh ! i always a bowl with extra cockles. The gravy is rich and tasty and without giving you that overloaded feel as if you drank a bowl of coconut milk. Give it a try. The dish comes with only, beehoon, small amount of fish cakes, bean sprouts and cockles. $2, its reasonable.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.

I'm not sure exactly where the original Leong Kee moved to, but I believe the one at Sultan Gate is still there. I also saw one at junction of Jln Besar and Hindoo road. Just at the junction before beancurd city

hi!
The bak kut teh at this place is Klang style. If you refering to the peppery style Bak Kut Teh you typically find in Singapore, then this is not the place for you.
For the peppery style one, the famous ones are probably ones are Balestier Road or the one at Tanjong Pagar complex. For me, I usually just go to Song Fa at Rochor which is decent for me, and more convenient as well.
