Seng Kee Wan Tun Mee

Posted by CyberTron on Apr 26, 2008 11:41PM
This is a wanton mee that I like which is near my house. Coincidentally, it is located at the same coffee shop as the legendary Eng Seng pepper crab. This stall opens in the morning till around noon time. Actually, there's nothing special about the wanton mee, as in it does not have super big prawns in the wanton, or super sauce.

It is one of those wanton mee cook like those many years ago. Simple wanton mee, that taste just like the old days. The portion is very big which makes it pretty value for money. If you are looking just for a simple wanton mee, might want to give this a try :)

My last 2 trips there this year was kinda disappointing as well. First time, somewhere near CNY, a lot of seafood was sold out, even the beer! Thought cos we were there late, so the next time we decided to get there earlier, and this time, the crab where sold out! Service was also very slow and not enuff people to serve the customers. Food wise, I think price is still ok, but I think the food is not longer as good as when it was less well known.... planning to try senibong next round...

Have not been to Jogoya before, but I've been to the Gonbei opposite. Priced similarly to Jogoya if not wrong, and I thought the service and food was pretty good.

I went with 7 adults and 1 kid, we spent less than $120. I would safely hazard a guess of $18 - $25 per person, depending on how hungry you get. Real value for money for quality food.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.
