I head of this mee sua place quite long ago. As I'm not too a fan of mee sua, have not check out the place until last night. The other time I've eaten mee sua was at Penang Kitchen around Bukit Timah, which was pretty good.
So last night, decided to pop by this place for a late night supper with a friend who's living very near this place. We ordered 2 mee sua, and 1 toufo with mince pork.
Inclusive of drink, I believe total bill came up to $17. $7 for the toufu, and $4 each for the mee sua if not wrong.
Given my previous experience mee sua was at Penang Kitchen, which was Penang style, and cooked with herbal duck, so I'm not sure what to expect from the usual mee sua. For a start, the soup is thick, sort of like the herbal bak kut teh, except the herbal taste is not as strong, just mild. The mee sua needs to eat it fast while it is hot, else it will get soggy. Actually, I love my noodles slightly soggy, so that's not really an issue for me. :) You get pieces of pork (my friend says it tastes like chicken), kidney and liver in the mee sua. hmm..not sure if I missed out anything else in the mee sua. As for the toufu, other than the toufu was quite soft, I did not find the toufu to be special in any other ways, but is still pretty good actually.
Overall, I would give the mee sua a 3.5 star, and given free parking at night, and it opens till 4am, definitely another good place for some late night supper!

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.

I'm not sure exactly where the original Leong Kee moved to, but I believe the one at Sultan Gate is still there. I also saw one at junction of Jln Besar and Hindoo road. Just at the junction before beancurd city

hi!
The bak kut teh at this place is Klang style. If you refering to the peppery style Bak Kut Teh you typically find in Singapore, then this is not the place for you.
For the peppery style one, the famous ones are probably ones are Balestier Road or the one at Tanjong Pagar complex. For me, I usually just go to Song Fa at Rochor which is decent for me, and more convenient as well.

I don't remember if i'd ever come across cheap and nice seafood in KL...I suggest you to plan a trip to Sabah, that's really what I call heaven for seafood lovers. ;-)
