Sarawak Kolo Mee
Had sarawak kolo mee 2days ago that left me craving for more. Their recommeded ones are $6.50/bowl which includes prawns/char siew/abalone & wanton. But you can also order purely prawns/char siew/abalone or wanton at S$8.90/bowl. The soup is really sweet, and the noodle with good elasticity.
My mom, sis & myself had drinks, 3 recommended kolo mee bowls plus a bowl of fried wanton to share for a total of $27. Next time, I'll try the abalone with vege-someone gota take the greens away from me thouh ;p

Cross Street, Chinatown (opp OG)
can't misse it. It's directly next to Chinatownpoint as you cross from traffic light infront of coffee beans.

I brought the bowl to the counter and told the staffs about it, but the reaction that they gave me was like it was quite common, they did say sorry but they never give us any assurance that they will look into it to improve their hygiene, that's why we never go back to that place again.

yikes... did you lodge a complain with the management or something? Did they do anything about it? I think cockroach is not quite acceptable especially at such a place, in fact, any place.

I've tried the one at vivo before, taste is ok, but as we found a baby coakroach inside one of the bowl after we almost finished the food, it killed our appetite.

oh yes...the 2 soya sauce chicken is quite famous and my colleagues love them. The last time we went, I believe we went to the corner one.
I believe the 2 stalls are siblings or something if i remember correctly.

Yes, they have some outlets. Angelia next time you are at the same area i would suggest u walk a few meter more and eat the Yao Kai Mee, they have 2 different stall there, something like the chicken rice war in Dover. Rumors was, sidling rivalry

My last 2 trips there this year was kinda disappointing as well. First time, somewhere near CNY, a lot of seafood was sold out, even the beer! Thought cos we were there late, so the next time we decided to get there earlier, and this time, the crab where sold out!
Service was also very slow and not enuff people to serve the customers.
Food wise, I think price is still ok, but I think the food is not longer as good as when it was less well known.... planning to try senibong next round...

Have not been to Jogoya before, but I've been to the Gonbei opposite. Priced similarly to Jogoya if not wrong, and I thought the service and food was pretty good.

I went with 7 adults and 1 kid, we spent less than $120. I would safely hazard a guess of $18 - $25 per person, depending on how hungry you get. Real value for money for quality food.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.
