Restoran Woon Kiang 汶强果条仔 @ JB
a pretty popular kway teow kia restaurant in JB, and i would dare to say one of the best ard here... the restaurant is normally quite full but as it has many tables, normally there is no problem in finding a table, and you can to be in the aircon or the open-air section.
if you have never eaten kway teow kia before, it is similar to the kuey chap in singapore...pigs organs...ducks...eggs...beancurds etc...the difference is instead of the squarish "kway teow" that is used in kuey chap, kway teow kia uses the flat kuey teow (flat noodle). i personally prefer the kuay teow to the squarish thing...
we orderd 2 bowls of the kuey teow, the chicken feet, pig's big intestines and the salted veges. hp camera kind of sucks at night photos so i can't really take any (not much lighting in the open-air area), so shall just use words to describe...
it was bf's first time eating kuay teow kia, and he was pretty satisfied with it. the soup is tasty, the pig intestine doesn't have an unpleasant taste, the chicken feet was yummy, the salted vege was nice too eventhough it was quite salty... to us (small eaters), the servings for each dish was a bit big, so we were glad we did not order too much. we were actually tempted to order the duck meat as well... our dinner amt to ard RM16 bucks, including 1 liang teh drink...
oh did i mention the auntie who takes the orders/payment is pretty hot in terms of her dressing?

My last 2 trips there this year was kinda disappointing as well. First time, somewhere near CNY, a lot of seafood was sold out, even the beer! Thought cos we were there late, so the next time we decided to get there earlier, and this time, the crab where sold out!
Service was also very slow and not enuff people to serve the customers.
Food wise, I think price is still ok, but I think the food is not longer as good as when it was less well known.... planning to try senibong next round...

This is located opposite the Yishun sports hall.... at the cross junction there... if you take mrt, during the durian seasons, u might notice people waiting there... is been 2 years since I been there, not sure if it is still around.

Have not been to Jogoya before, but I've been to the Gonbei opposite. Priced similarly to Jogoya if not wrong, and I thought the service and food was pretty good.

I went with 7 adults and 1 kid, we spent less than $120. I would safely hazard a guess of $18 - $25 per person, depending on how hungry you get. Real value for money for quality food.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.
