Been quite awhile since I've pop by Old Airport Road food centre for my meals. Surprised to find quite a few new stalls opened here, and one of them was this.
I've been to Penang Delights stall at Aljunied before (not sure if it is still there), and that time, brought my Penang friend to sample the Penang food there then. So I was surprised when I saw it has opened a new stall here, and decided to try it their Penang char kway teow ($5). The char kway teow comes in $3, $4 and $5.
There's not many people ordering when I was there. I found the uncle cooking there a bit inexperience or new it seems. He seems a bit slow though, cooking one order at a time. A couple before me ordered a char kway teow and prawn mee, and he prepared the order one by one. I guess a seasoned hawker would probably be able to multitask between the order?
Anyway, finally I got my char kway teow. For $5, the portion is decent compared to the other famous char kway teow stall. You quite quite a few decent size prawns. No cockles, no lup cheong, no slice fish cake, just prawns, bean sprout and egg, and of cos the kway teow. The char kway teow also comes with pieces of deep fried lard too, but then, they were not crispy though. Would have been much better if they were crispy. The kway teow is also slightly on the oily side too.
Another example to show how inexperience the uncle is, first, he dun use gloves, when he prepare the food (which is ok for me). But when he put the kway teow on the plate, there were some kway teow dangling there, and he use his bare hands to flick it on the plate, and yes, you probably guess it, he also use the same hands to give me the change.
Overall, if you overlook the points above, the kway teow is decent though I would say I prefer Penang Kitchen penang char kway teow though.

I'm sorry, you obviously don't know authenticity when you see it, my dad is from penang and i go there regularly. this is the way it's supposed to be cooked and by the way, the "inexperienced uncle" is a penang native, i know because i talked to him before. There's really no such thing as fish cake and lupcheong in penang char kway teow, and if you want cockles you have to ask.

Came here for dinner today, and we ordered the prawn noodle to share. Even my friend find the uncle there seems a bit inexperience and slow. However, it seems there's actually quite a few people buy from this stall though.
The prawn noodle was just so so. My friend find it salty, I find it just slightly salty and the belachan taste is quite nice if you like it.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.

I'm not sure exactly where the original Leong Kee moved to, but I believe the one at Sultan Gate is still there. I also saw one at junction of Jln Besar and Hindoo road. Just at the junction before beancurd city

hi!
The bak kut teh at this place is Klang style. If you refering to the peppery style Bak Kut Teh you typically find in Singapore, then this is not the place for you.
For the peppery style one, the famous ones are probably ones are Balestier Road or the one at Tanjong Pagar complex. For me, I usually just go to Song Fa at Rochor which is decent for me, and more convenient as well.

I don't remember if i'd ever come across cheap and nice seafood in KL...I suggest you to plan a trip to Sabah, that's really what I call heaven for seafood lovers. ;-)
