Pasta Cafe

Posted by CyberTron on Jul 25, 2008 9:46PM
Colleague suggested this place for dinner ask she said the pasta is very good, especially the slipper lobster pasta. Located at basement of taka, opposite MOS burger, when we were there, there was already a queue outside the restaurant, with about 4 -6 groups in front of us. My colleagues order the slipper lobster pasta (her favourite) and a grilled chicken while I ordered a Seafood Sambal Marinara. Price wise, the pasta is pretty reasonable at $17.90, and portion is decent too. Food wise, I would say it is very nice, not too salty or dry for mine. The grilled chicken is pretty tender too. I also ordered a Coockie Crumble ($7.90), which was pretty good as well. Service was efficient even though the place was pretty crowded. Overall, the food is great. Only downside, you might have to queue, and it could be even worse on weekends.

yup yup my favourite slipper lobster fettucini..i give it 5 stars cos i really loveeee the creamy sauce..orange in color, not too creamy, taste is rich...and i could finish the whole plate without feeling sick of the pasta (something that often happens to me when eating creamy pastas)...another pasta restaurant i like is Creation Cafe at Shaw Leisure Gallery...they have this roundish pasta with fillings in between it..think is called mushroom ravioli...pretty good choice of pasta...

Hi, the next time you are in ngee ann, drop by taka's makan area at B2, there's a stall next to the lifts within Taka's compound that serves excellent pasta and it's cheaper than Pasta Cafe.

I would give this place half a star more than Pasta Cafe, the only setback about the place is the seating arrangement.

I've never been to Chinatown food centre or Albert Street Temporary food centre so can't compare. Yup, it's "song fish head" steam with tau see style, and I love the pork lard on it, very crispy. ^o^

Overall plus the cendol. I like the sauce but the crushed peanuts spoiled it and the fried stuffs too plain.
