Meng Kee Satay Bee Hoon @ East Coast Parkway
If you ask me where to eat good satay bee hoon in Singapore, I will strongly recommend this! And that is coming from someone who doesn't like to eat satay bee hoon at all... who always thought that beehoon and satay gravy is a totally wrong combination...
So when we were at East Coast Parkway last friday, and bf was saying this satay bee hoon is a die-die-must-try dish...i decided to give satay bee hoon a 2nd chance... queued for at least 15 min...actually the queue wasn't verrrry long, it was because the 2 uncles took quite some time to pick the ingredients, arrange on the plate, pour the gravy... it was like they were doing it with a lot of concentration...what went through my mind was this better be worth my time and 3 bucks...
And indeed, the wait was worth it....the effort and concentration put in by the uncles to prepare this small plate was worth it... never know that satay gravy and bee hoon can taste so good togethe. the gravy was more wet than thick and you do not get sick of it at all... all thumbs up! Oh, we requested not to have the humps and pig livers...just the cuttlefish etc...
Photo not very clear since it was taken at night using my hp...tsk tsk...

my all time favourite never missed to Q for this whenever I go east coast eat. The gravy is just enough and the cuttlefish is thumbs up. Eaten at other places before but here is still the best.

hmm.... i think i know this... somehow, though I like satay, I dun quite like satay bee hoon. The smell is a bit too strong for me, but one of my friends love it.
I think there's a bak kut teh there also which opens during lunch and is pretty good too.

Hi, saw that you've tried the Ayam Penyet Ria too, so which is better?

I've never been to Chinatown food centre or Albert Street Temporary food centre so can't compare. Yup, it's "song fish head" steam with tau see style, and I love the pork lard on it, very crispy. ^o^

How is the fish steam head compared to the ones at Chinatown food centre or there's another stall in Albert Street Temporary food centre? The steam fish head is "song fish head" steam with tau see style?

I went to the tony roma's in singapore suntec city, the ribs is very nice & tender and the chocolate dessert is sinful! Dun like the corn soup though.

Yup, the roast pork is super nice, & it sold out very fast, the lunch hour is 1130am to 230pm and the roast pork sold out at around 1pm.

Overall plus the cendol. I like the sauce but the crushed peanuts spoiled it and the fried stuffs too plain.
