Leong Kee (Klang) Bak Kut Teh 梁记(巴生) 肉骨茶 @ Geylang 21A

The last day at Geylang Lor 21A

I do not usually post 2 reviews of the same place, and most of the time, if I go back the place again, I will usually just post a comment. However, this trip that I went on Friday was different.

On Friday, as I was around the area, I decided to grab my lunch here, since it has been quite awhile since I came here. Recently, I've also been seeing the trailer on TV and TV mobile on "Makan Places Lost and Found Season 3" featuring this place. So when I arrived at the place, decided to order one bak kut teh ($5), one tau pok (50 cents!) and rice (50cents). Then when I finish ordering, the waiter told me today is their last day and promptly gave me a name card with their new location! So below is their new address if you are planning to go there (I think the new place starts only on 3 Dec) :

251, Geylang Road (Beside Lor 11)
Singapore 389309
Tel : 9380 1718 (C.S Foo)

Well, needless to say, the bak kut teh (Klang style) will always be a benchmark for all other klang style bak kut teh in Singapore. So the photos I taken with my iphone is probably the last of this outlet at Lor 21A.

Maybe I will go check out the new location sometime next week :)

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.

I'm not sure exactly where the original Leong Kee moved to, but I believe the one at Sultan Gate is still there. I also saw one at junction of Jln Besar and Hindoo road. Just at the junction before beancurd city

hi! The bak kut teh at this place is Klang style. If you refering to the peppery style Bak Kut Teh you typically find in Singapore, then this is not the place for you. For the peppery style one, the famous ones are probably ones are Balestier Road or the one at Tanjong Pagar complex. For me, I usually just go to Song Fa at Rochor which is decent for me, and more convenient as well.

I don't remember if i'd ever come across cheap and nice seafood in KL...I suggest you to plan a trip to Sabah, that's really what I call heaven for seafood lovers. ;-)
