Kowloon Hong Kong Dim Sum 九龙香港点心

Posted by CyberTron on Aug 20, 2008 8:51PM
Originally planned to come here to check out the dim sum at this place, but end up ordering the bak chor mee instead. However, decided to check out the chee cheong fun after my noodle. I ordered the char siew one ($3). Was thinking whether to order the char siew su, but after looking at the one on display, decided to give it a miss.

The chee cheong fun is also freshly steam, similar to the one at the old airport road. Overall, the chee cheong fun is not bad, and they are not too stingy with the char siew too. As compared to the one at old airport road, I think I like the soya sauce used at the old airport road more, but this is actually quite good too.

So if you like chee cheong fun, let me know which ya like if you got a chance to try both.

My last 2 trips there this year was kinda disappointing as well. First time, somewhere near CNY, a lot of seafood was sold out, even the beer! Thought cos we were there late, so the next time we decided to get there earlier, and this time, the crab where sold out! Service was also very slow and not enuff people to serve the customers. Food wise, I think price is still ok, but I think the food is not longer as good as when it was less well known.... planning to try senibong next round...

Have not been to Jogoya before, but I've been to the Gonbei opposite. Priced similarly to Jogoya if not wrong, and I thought the service and food was pretty good.

I went with 7 adults and 1 kid, we spent less than $120. I would safely hazard a guess of $18 - $25 per person, depending on how hungry you get. Real value for money for quality food.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.
