Korean Ginseng Chicken & BBQ

Posted by CyberTron on Apr 04, 2008 8:39PM
Order a set for 2 today. Came with a hot pot rice with beef, ginseng chicken, plate of vege, and 2 bbq mackeral. The bill after tax came to $72. Overall, if you are not big eater, the set is actually more than enough for 3.

Food wise is pretty decent. I like the bbq mackeral, though it has a bitter taste at the belly portion, which not many people might like that taste. The ginseng chicken is ok, but I think the glutinous rice inside is a little little. The hot pot rice is pretty good too.

The ginseng chicken soup is delicious. After hours of cooking, the chicken is not hard and dry but soft and has a balance bitter sweet ginseng taste.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.

I'm not sure exactly where the original Leong Kee moved to, but I believe the one at Sultan Gate is still there. I also saw one at junction of Jln Besar and Hindoo road. Just at the junction before beancurd city

hi! The bak kut teh at this place is Klang style. If you refering to the peppery style Bak Kut Teh you typically find in Singapore, then this is not the place for you. For the peppery style one, the famous ones are probably ones are Balestier Road or the one at Tanjong Pagar complex. For me, I usually just go to Song Fa at Rochor which is decent for me, and more convenient as well.
