Izzi Bukit Bintang

Izzi Bukit Bintang

Heard so much about this place, so thought I'd check it out. Unfortunately, as the Malays say "Indah khabar dari rupa". The ambiance was good, very hip, funky, and there are a loooot of magazines to browse for free. It's very good to atmosphere to hold functions, events, gatherings (which they do specialize in - caterings, it's 3 floors high anyway). But for a cosy "home made Italian" meal, the food is nothing special. Costly for the price and quality. I think you are paying more for the prestige of dining at the place (Bukit Bintang) instead of paying for a really good meal. Come here only if you have functions to attend to :-P

But anyway, I had a surprise dining here. A soup, a pizza, a pasta, 2 drinks costs RM95. But then it was slashed 50% and was less than RM50! :) I didnt noticed, but it was a pleasant surprise tho, for RM 50 it wasnt so bad, but for RM100?? No way I'm paying full price, lol!

Always wanted to know about this place because keep getting the 50% discount offer from MBB Credit Card. If just 'normal' Italian food, will give it a pass. Not quite a fan of Italian food. If want to eat spaghetti, will go for Hokkein mee . :0)

yeah... it wasnt even spectacular food you know for RM100... The 50% discount thing is still on, not a credit card discount. it's for the main items and stuff, more info on the website.

Wow! Seems expensive if it is RM95 for a soup, pizza and pasta and 2 drinks?

The 50% discount was a credit card discount or something?

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.

I'm not sure exactly where the original Leong Kee moved to, but I believe the one at Sultan Gate is still there. I also saw one at junction of Jln Besar and Hindoo road. Just at the junction before beancurd city

hi! The bak kut teh at this place is Klang style. If you refering to the peppery style Bak Kut Teh you typically find in Singapore, then this is not the place for you. For the peppery style one, the famous ones are probably ones are Balestier Road or the one at Tanjong Pagar complex. For me, I usually just go to Song Fa at Rochor which is decent for me, and more convenient as well.
