满满 Hokkien Fried Noodle (Old Stall)

Posted by CyberTron on Apr 28, 2009 10:45PM
When I used to work at Tanjong Pagar area last time, this is one of my favourite stall. I like this stall hokkien mee as it comes with a decent serving of vege. I've ordered a $4 portion that day. It seems medium size prawns are used now instead of the usual typical smaller ones used for hokkien mee. It seems to have added slices of fish cake too, which I don't quite remember having them the last time I was here few years back. Overall, this is a more healthier version of hokkien mee, and yet, it does not sacrifice much in terms of taste. The ingredients used like the prawns taste fresh too as well. The portion is also pretty decent and makes me feel full after finishing the whole plate :) Definitely worth a 3.5 star.

My last 2 trips there this year was kinda disappointing as well. First time, somewhere near CNY, a lot of seafood was sold out, even the beer! Thought cos we were there late, so the next time we decided to get there earlier, and this time, the crab where sold out! Service was also very slow and not enuff people to serve the customers. Food wise, I think price is still ok, but I think the food is not longer as good as when it was less well known.... planning to try senibong next round...

Have not been to Jogoya before, but I've been to the Gonbei opposite. Priced similarly to Jogoya if not wrong, and I thought the service and food was pretty good.

I went with 7 adults and 1 kid, we spent less than $120. I would safely hazard a guess of $18 - $25 per person, depending on how hungry you get. Real value for money for quality food.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.
