We weren't actually coming out to check out this place. We were actually to check out Two Chefs which was nearby, but turn out it was closed. The last time we walked past this place, we show this chicken wing on the signboard, told ourselves we wil check out this place one of these days.
When we were there, there was already a queue of people (around 10) waiting to buy their char bee hoon there. Interestingly, usually when one buy char bee hoon, one would usually have a plate of bee hoon, and then add whatever ingredients like luncheon meat, egg, etc on top. At this place, the been hoon is served separate, and everyone just order plates and plates of fried chicken wing. From when I started queuing to my turn, the chicken wings were refilled at least 3 times! Not to be left out, I ordered 2 plates of bee hoon, 5 chicken wings, 4 slices of luncheon meat, 1 piece of fish cake, 1 otah and a plate of cabbage. All these came up to $11.20 (i think, or $11.60).
For a start, even though the food like bee hoon, etc get refilled very fast, somehow they are not that piping hot, except the chicken wing, which was hot, but not very very hot. The bee hoon was normal, not too oily. Same goes for the rest. But the ultimate killer is still the chicken wings, which was pretty finger licking good. I think the next time I'm here, I will focus on attacking the chicken wings. :)
Overall, I think the chicken wing deserves a 4 star, while the rest is probably just a 3 star. Overall, will give this a 3.5 star. Price is also pretty reasonable too. Though the queue is as long as the char kway teow at Commonwealth, the queue here moves pretty fast, and even when we left, the queue was still going strong. Amazing a simple char been hoon also can have such a long queue :)

My last 2 trips there this year was kinda disappointing as well. First time, somewhere near CNY, a lot of seafood was sold out, even the beer! Thought cos we were there late, so the next time we decided to get there earlier, and this time, the crab where sold out!
Service was also very slow and not enuff people to serve the customers.
Food wise, I think price is still ok, but I think the food is not longer as good as when it was less well known.... planning to try senibong next round...

This is located opposite the Yishun sports hall.... at the cross junction there... if you take mrt, during the durian seasons, u might notice people waiting there... is been 2 years since I been there, not sure if it is still around.

Have not been to Jogoya before, but I've been to the Gonbei opposite. Priced similarly to Jogoya if not wrong, and I thought the service and food was pretty good.

I went with 7 adults and 1 kid, we spent less than $120. I would safely hazard a guess of $18 - $25 per person, depending on how hungry you get. Real value for money for quality food.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.
