Came across this place while we were having dinner sometime back, decided to check this place out for dinner tonight. I think this is opened only recently.
Anyway, both of us order a Set Meal C ($10.80), which came with either the fried chicken wing or the deep fried bean curd, a choice of noodle (I went for the chicken chop noodle, while my friend went for the pork chop noodle) and a choice of drinks of either papaya or avocado smoothie. I went with the papaya while my friend changed hers with an orange juice with a top up of 65 cents. We also ordered a bo lo bun ($1.50) and the bean curd too ($4.80). Total bill came up to $33.60.
Food wise, both of us found the noodle pretty good, while I find the chicken wing just average. The bean curd is quite nice though. The set meal seems a pretty good value for money too. For the bo lo bun, I found it so so, while the beancurd was probably just slightly above average. The portion is smaller compared to the Wang Jiao (I think) at cineleisure. This one is about 2 bowls only.
When we were there today, it was pretty empty, so no crowd or queue, though weekend you might have to queue as I saw when I was there over the weekend.
Compared to the other hong kong cafe few shops down, I personally prefer this, and definitely better than the one inside bugis junction (got really bad experience the last time I was there)

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.

I'm not sure exactly where the original Leong Kee moved to, but I believe the one at Sultan Gate is still there. I also saw one at junction of Jln Besar and Hindoo road. Just at the junction before beancurd city

hi!
The bak kut teh at this place is Klang style. If you refering to the peppery style Bak Kut Teh you typically find in Singapore, then this is not the place for you.
For the peppery style one, the famous ones are probably ones are Balestier Road or the one at Tanjong Pagar complex. For me, I usually just go to Song Fa at Rochor which is decent for me, and more convenient as well.

I don't remember if i'd ever come across cheap and nice seafood in KL...I suggest you to plan a trip to Sabah, that's really what I call heaven for seafood lovers. ;-)
