Been wanting to come here a couple of times, but everytime I was there, there's always a long queue at this place. Today, decided to have an early lunch and try our luck. We were there slightly before noon, but by then, the place was already full! Well, sort of, there was just one last table around, and we're pretty luck, and never have to wait.
I ordered a prime rub x'tra cut ($16.50) while my friend ordered a chargrilled chicken ($6.50). Both come with 2 sides. Ice water is 30 cents a glass, but there's no service charge at this place, other than the 7% GST.
As the place was pretty crowded, our food too awhile before they were served. Think I was lucky to ordered the x'tra cut, which turns out not that huge actually. Ordered the medium rare and it turns out pretty nice, not too overcooked or burnt. My friend's chargrilled chicken was pretty good too. I think at $6.50 for the chargrilled chicken is pretty value for money, as you can see the number of students eating at this place. $6.50 is probably the price of one Burger King meal.
Overall, I would give a 3.5 star for both the food and value for money at this place. No wonder this place is forever pack! So if you are around the area, and not during the normal peak lunch or dinner timing, you might want to consider grabbing ya meal here.

I was telling my friend that day, they should maybe give some discount for people whole finish and leave within a certain time like 45min or 1hr, else I see lots of people finish their food and chatting, while there's queue of people outside waiting.

I've never been to Chinatown food centre or Albert Street Temporary food centre so can't compare. Yup, it's "song fish head" steam with tau see style, and I love the pork lard on it, very crispy. ^o^

How is the fish steam head compared to the ones at Chinatown food centre or there's another stall in Albert Street Temporary food centre? The steam fish head is "song fish head" steam with tau see style?

Yup, the roast pork is super nice, & it sold out very fast, the lunch hour is 1130am to 230pm and the roast pork sold out at around 1pm.

Overall plus the cendol. I like the sauce but the crushed peanuts spoiled it and the fried stuffs too plain.
