Ah Mei Cafe
My parents and i always like to go to Ah Mei Kaya Toast for breakfast. I like the nasi lemak while my parents like the roti toast.
The nasi lemak is my favourite, though i am not sure that it's hand-made, it tastes really great especially the sambal..yummy. My mum likes the kaya butter toast and she always order the set which is served with a big cup of teh tarik
Ohh..almost forget to mention about the roti prata..The roti prata kosong is really tasty...but just too bad the minimum order for the kosong is 2...:(

Hi all ah mei food lovers, i m also one of you and would patronise the stall at AMK hub for it's famous prata. But ouch, the waiting time has increased for 30 min to 45 min just for 2 pratas and it happened just today at 13 June 2010. not only me was affected, there were some complaints arising from those customers who were also waiting at the tables. ok, giving the benefit if doubt i decided that if u want quality stuff, u hv to wait for freshly baked ones. but having to wait for 2 pratas using 45 min, it is seriously waiting our time and orther's time, nowadays each time i go, sure here complaints or the customers walked away upon hearing the long waiting time. if there is another prata shop selling the same famnous prata but at a shorter waiting time like 10 min, iu will be glad to do so. Ah mei cafe had better reflect on themselves before their customer pool went off to their competitor

Iced-Teh Tarak cost $2 while a normal cup of Teh Tarak is $1.60 in IMM.
Roti Prata is too oily & flat. A Chinese lady is grilling the prata, with no technique she keeps adding oil. Pratas should be fluffy!

Never eat the mee siam at Ah Mei Cafe. I bought my lunch from Ah Mei @ their new outlet at Chinatown Point. It was soooo dry! So stingy on the gravy. The bee hoon was almost raw! And guess wat, I saw them heating it up in a mirowave! No more mee siam from Ah Mei!

Their cheese prata is also very yummy. If you haven't tried their nasi brani, you should.

My last 2 trips there this year was kinda disappointing as well. First time, somewhere near CNY, a lot of seafood was sold out, even the beer! Thought cos we were there late, so the next time we decided to get there earlier, and this time, the crab where sold out!
Service was also very slow and not enuff people to serve the customers.
Food wise, I think price is still ok, but I think the food is not longer as good as when it was less well known.... planning to try senibong next round...

Have not been to Jogoya before, but I've been to the Gonbei opposite. Priced similarly to Jogoya if not wrong, and I thought the service and food was pretty good.

I went with 7 adults and 1 kid, we spent less than $120. I would safely hazard a guess of $18 - $25 per person, depending on how hungry you get. Real value for money for quality food.

Is diagonally opposite Jogoya. Supposedly the quality is better than Jogoya. Price wise, if we convert currency, then Malaysia is cheaper. If we do not convert currency, then Singapore is cheaper. Generally, a japanese buffet in Siingapore is around SGD30+ range.
