Xiu Ji Ikan Bilis Yong Tau Fu

Posted by aCiDz on Jul 10, 2008 4:05PM

The stall location does not affect the queue!

Navigating around the Chinatown Complex Food Centre is never easy. I managed to find it only after following this little bridge that seems to lead outside the food centre. Anyway, just look for the toilet -- the stall is just beside it.

Queued up for around 15min or so, and ordered the standard 'dry' set with bee hoon for $3. You get a spoonful of ikan bilis(a plus point) on top of your noodles/bee hoon, and 6 or 7 pieces of yong tau foo (I can't remember). They serve chilli sauce (not the thick kind), and no sweet sauce.

Ingredients are handmade, which is evident from the fishball shape. The texture is slightly firmer than the usual fishball that you find.

Tried the mango dessert last month. Surprisingly that branch had no queue, and shop was not packed on a Sunday night. Mango was sour :(
